In the 1976 Summer Olympics, Comaneci became the first gymnast to earn a perfect 10 in the Olympics, earning the mark first on the uneven bars and then six more times during the Olympiad. The first time, though, there wasn’t even the capability on the scoreboard to display a perfect score, so judges instead had the scoreboards read “1.0” to indicate her score. Comaneci, who starred in those games for her home country of Romania, moved to Oklahoma in 1991 and married Bart Conner a few years later. She was an Olympic icon long before she arrived in the state — she won three gold medals in those 1976 games and added two more in 1980.Read more on NewsOK.com
