Painesville Restaurant Robbed At Gunpoint

The Painesville City Police Department is investigating an armed robbery of a restaurant on Dec. 18. At about 5:29 p.m. police responded to Perkins Restaurant at 700 Mentor Ave. after a man brandished a silver handgun, said Painesville City Police Lt. Toby Burgett in a news release. The man, who witnesses said was wearing a camouflage mask, grey hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, gloves and white shoes, took an "undisclosed" amount of cash from the restaurant and fled on foot, Burgett said.
