Employees of The Lake County Department of Job and Family Services and community volunteers will plant 1,100 pinwheels in Veteran's Park in Painesville Square on April 12 to kick off Pinwheels for Prevention. Planting will begin at 8 a.m. and will take 30 minutes to complete. The official ceremony begins at noon, April 12, with county commissioners and community supporters speaking on National Child Abuse Prevention Month.
