PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) — Plans for a new Pawtucket Red Sox stadium are heading to Rhode Island lawmakers. A spokeswoman for the city of Pawtucket said Tuesday the legislation is being drafted and will be filed in the State House this week. The Triple-A affiliate of the Boston Red Sox is seeking a $23 million state investment to help build a downtown ballpark. Democratic Mayor Donald Grebien has been leading efforts to pitch the $83 million project, which would include investments from the team and city.
