UPDATE 10:30 a.m.Officials have reopened the east gate at Peterson Air Force on Monday morning following an investigation of a vehicle that set off a chemical detector.Normal traffic has resumed, officials said.A Peterson spokeswoman said investigators found the vehicle to not be a threat. The gate was reopened about 10:30 a.m., about two hours after the vehicle set off the detector for possible hazardous materials, the spokeswoman said.-The east gate at Peterson Air Force Base is closed Monday morning as officials investigate a vehicle that set off a chemical detector, according to Gazette news partner KKTV.The base's north and west gates are open.Read more on Colorado Springs Gazette
