By Brandy McDonnellAda native, country music star and “The Voice” personality Blake Shelton hosted and performed on NBC's "Elvis All-Star Tribute," which aired Sunday and also included dynamite performances for Checotah native Carrie Underwood and former Tishomingo resident Miranda Lambert and her trio Pistol Annies.As previously reported, the two-hour program paid tribute to Presley’s “’68 Comeback Special,” recreating the iconic night with musical performances, a showcase of rare footage and interviews with Priscilla Presley and Steve Binder, the director of the original special, plus a special appearance from Lisa Marie Presley.Lambert and her Pistol Annies bandmates Ashley Monroe and Angaleena Presley showed off their striking harmonies on “Love Me.”Shelton did right by one of The King's most famous songs, "Suspicious Minds," and he was featured in the big finish “If I Can Dream,” along with Presley, Underwood, Shawn Mendes, Post Malone and Darius Rucker.But Underwood and Yolanda Adams stole the show with a heavenly medley of the gospel tunes Elvis loved.
