If you've ever been to Canada you'll know that Tim Hortons coffee shops are ubiquitous. So when politicians want to pretend they're "for the little guy" and send out a populist message they invariably show up at a Tim's, coffee cup in hand. And that's just what Member of Parliament Lianne Rood did when she took to Twitter with her dumb video.
"I’m done with Tim Hortons until they stop trying to push these woke paper lids that dissolve in your mouth," said the Conservative MP for Lambton-Kent-Middlesex.
“Paul Manafort, the longtime Republican strategist who was chairman of Donald Trump’s 2016 campaign, helped stave off efforts to thwart his nomination at the convention, went to prison and was pardoned by Mr. Trump, has begun advising efforts for the Republican National Convention,” the New York Times reports.
“Mr. Manafort, for decades a lobbyist who worked with foreign governments and had extensive experience with past Republican conventions, was present last week for meetings in Milwaukee, where the July convention will take place.”
