Pitt Gets $4 Million In Grants To Study Deadly Viruses

The University of Pittsburgh Center for Vaccine Research has received nearly $4 million through five federal grants to study a group of related mosquito-borne viruses, with the goal of developing vaccines against deadly diseases. The research will be conducted at Pitt's Regional Biocontainment Laboratory, which is a high-security facility that allows potentially dangerous pathogens to be safely contained.
