Pittsfield Man Facing Manslaughter Charge In Ymca Death

PITTSFIELD, Mass. — A homeless Pittsfield man is now facing a manslaughter charge in connection with the death of a man found unconscious at the city's YMCA.The Berkshire district attorney announced Tuesday that 27-year-old Brian Signor will be arraigned on the upgraded charge at a date to be determined.Signor had originally been charged with assault and battery in connection with the death of 44-year-old Joseph Wirtes.Police found Wirtes bleeding and unconscious in his apartment at the Y on Sept.
