Police arrested a 33-year-old man Tuesday afternoon suspected of both firing a gun and trying to lure children into his car in the Brighton/Hillman City area of Rainier Valley. Officers responded to gunshot reports about 3:15 p.m. in the area of Rainier Avenue South and South Graham Street. Three schools in the area called for students to shelter in place as a precautionary measure, according to Seattle police.
