Police arrested a man Tuesday night caught on surveillance footage whacking another man with his cane – but he told police the whackee used a homophobic slur and he deserved it. Officers were called to a housing complex for homeless people suffering alcohol addiction about 10:35 p.m. in the 1800 block of Eastlake Avenue East, according to Seattle police reports.
