A new charter school will open its doors to Amarillo students on Aug. 25. Almost 130 students have enrolled in Premier High School, 3242 Hobbs Road, operated by Lewisville-based Responsive Education Solutions, campus director Manuela Allen said. Responsive Education runs Amarillo’s Vista Academy and more than 60 charter schools across Texas. Premier will offer individualized programs for at-risk youth to complete their high school educations, as well as accelerated lessons for students to earn diplomas ahead of schedule, Allen said. read more
