Project Starts Monday, Closing Busy Colorado Springs Road For Months

A 3.5-mile stretch of a busy eastern Colorado Springs road will be closed for months as part of a $31 million corridor transportation improvement project. Staring Monday, Marksheffel Road between Drennan Road and the east entrance of Peterson Air Force Base will be closed until about Sept. 9. Access into the base will be available from the north during the closure.
