Property Owner Upset But Not Surprised By School Arsonist, Offers Reward For Arrest And Conviction

The owner of the former Emerson Elementary School in Pontiac is offering a $10,000 reward for the arrest and conviction of whoever started the fire that burned down the building Monday morning.Mike Stephens, property manager for Pontiac Investments, LLC which bought Emerson and seven other shuttered Pontiac school buildings in an auction three years ago, said plenty of potential buyers were showing interest in the property for a charter school.
