WAUKEGAN — An appeal means there will be another delay in the trial of the wife of a northern Illinois police lieutenant who killed himself and made it look like it was a line-of-duty death. Lake County prosecutors Wednesday asked a state appellate court to overturn a judge's decision that martial privilege protects text messages they hoped to use in their theft case against Melodie Gliniewicz.
