Multnomah County health officials on Monday expressed both solidarity with protesters as well as concern about the transmission of Covid-19 that could occur in large crowds. “Wer'e continuing to fight the Covid pandemic, and we’re in another pandemic, one that’s been going on much longer that has destroyed and taken many more lives,” Rachel Banks, director of Multnomah County Public Health, said at a press briefing.
