For the second week in a row, ticket sales for McHenry Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4600’s Queen of Hearts raffle remained at about 30,000, Senior Vice Cmdr. Ben Keefe said. Keefe said he was wondering whether the word has gotten out that half of a multimillion-dollar pot is up for grabs. Although this year’s sales seem like a low turnout compared with the hundreds of thousands of tickets that were being sold toward the end of last year’s drawing, Tuesday’s drawing added about $150,000 to a pot that is approaching $4 million and still anyone’s to win. “We’ll take what we can get,” Keefe said. On Tuesday, the winning ticket-holder selected the king of hearts out of a deck of 22 cards, which won her $15,000. If a 10 is drawn, the ticket holder will receive $5,000.
