Rain, Wind Sweep Through Sacramento Region

An unseasonably strong Pacific weather system is predicted to advance through Northern California today, bringing rain to the valley and snow to the Sierra Nevada. The weather system, which already has dampened Sacramento streets, is expected be accompanied by wind around 15 mph in the valley and very strong gusts in the mountains. The National Weather Service forecast for today in the Sacramento region calls for rain with a high temperature of 61 degrees.
