Thursday will be cool and rainy, the National Weather Service reports. Strong winds in Rensselaer, Washington and Columbia counties could down trees, limbs and wires, and make driving difficult, from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Gusts up to 45 mph are possible. A coastal storm will take shape overnight, bringing more rain on Friday. The holiday weekend will start off dry and seasonably warm, with threats of rain showers Sunday into Monday.
