ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) — Chi Chi Gonzalez calmed down enough following first-inning jitters in his major league debut to hold the Boston Red Sox hitless through five innings and he went on to earn the win in the Texas Rangers' 8-0 victory Saturday night. Boston's David Ortiz led off the sixth inning with an opposite-field double to the gap in left-center, ending the no-hit bid. Gonzalez was the first of the Rangers' two first-round draft picks in 2013 (23rd overall) and was the organization's minor league pitcher of the year last season. The Rangers went into the game tied with Oakland for the worst home record in the American League and won their second straight at home for the first time this season.
