ARLINGTON - Rangers Manager Jeff Banister spun the wheel of leadoff hitters again Thursday. It landed on a seemingly most unlikely candidate: Rookie outfielder Nomar Mazara, who is known for his power rather than speed. Banister, however, looking for a spark to the top of the offense against right-handed pitching likes something else: Mazara's on-base percentage against right-handers and the potential for limiting moving parts when he swaps out Delino DeShields for Mazara against lefties.Mazara, who hit a three-run homer on Wednesday, said he has never hit leadoff at any level, but he has hit just about everywhere else in his first season in the majors.
