PRINCETON, W. Va. — Absorbing more blows than it could handle over the first four innings, Kingsport was felled 8-2 by Princeton in Thursday night’s Appalachian League activity. Beginning with a Luis Leon solo homer, the Rays (14-15) struck for at least one run in each inning through the fourth, building a 7-0 advantage. Princeton’s most productive inning was the second, resulting in three runs. Doubling up the Mets (14-15) in hits with 12, Princeton got a 3-for-3, 2-RBI effort from Gionti Turner.
