MADISON, Wis. (AP) — The Democratic leader in the Wisconsin state Senate has held on to her job after a recount. Final results from the Wisconsin Elections Commission Friday showed Sen. Jennifer Shilling, of La Crosse, ended the recount with a 61-vote margin over Republican Dan Kapanke. Shilling went into the recount up by 56 votes. Democrats were so confident of a Shilling win they voted to re-elect her as minority leader in the Senate last week.
