PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- Rep. Jim Langevin declared his candidacy for reelection to Congress on Tuesday morning at the secretary of state's elections office.Langevin was elected to the state’s Constitutional Convention in 1986. He later served as a state representative from, and was then elected secretary of state. He was elected to the United States Congress in 2000, and currently serves as a senior member of both the House Armed Services and Homeland Security Committees.
