Repairs Prompt Salvation Army Reuquest

The Salvation Army is seeking food donations to cover a period where the kitchen will be closed for repairs. The Salvation Army’s Center of Hope kitchen will be closed from Monday through Dec. 7 for “much needed renovations,” according to a news release. Without a way to serve its normal three daily meals, the Center of Hope is calling on churches, restaurants and organizations to help fill the gaps by donating food to help feed Augusta’s homeless men, women and children. Each year the center serves more than 100,000 meals. read more
