Three grassroots groups in Boulder County cohosted a public forum Thursday night to discuss what could be done to extend the county’s moratorium on fracking, which is set to expire in the spring. During “The Fracking Threat to Boulder County: What We Can Do About It,” speakers from 350 Colorado, The Lookout Alliance and Colorado Rising discussed the sunset date of a countywide fracking moratorium on March 28, and the signing of Senate Bill 181, which allows local governments more authority to regulate oil and gas.
