While traditional car companies are busy establishing Silicon Valley outposts, Google is making a reverse commute by opening a development center in Michigan. In a Google Plus post on Wednesday, the Mountain View company said having a local facility will help it "collaborate more easily and access Michigan's top talent in vehicle development and engineering.” The new center will be established in Novi, which is approximately 30 miles from Detroit, the U.S.
