After becoming a violent pass rusher at Colorado State, Mohamed Kamara will take his talents to South Beach. The Miami Dolphins took Kamara in the fifth round (158th overall) of the NFL draft. Kamara will join a Miami draft class that currently consists of first-round edge rusher Chop Robinson, offensive tackle Patrick Paul and running back Jaylen Wright. Kamara left Colorado State after finishing second in career sacks (30.5) and third in career tackles for loss (45.5).

Eastbound Interstate 70 was closed in two locations Saturday for crashes near Vail Pass Summit and Loveland Pass, according to Colorado Department of Transportation. The highway closed between exit 190 at Vail Pass Summit and exit 195 at Copper Mountain for a crash around 11:45 a.m., according to CDOT. The Vail Pass Summit closure reopened around 2:15 p.m., CDOT officials said. I-70 remains closed for a crash between exit 216 at Loveland Pass/U.

Police officers are investigating a potential homicide after a body was found near Cherry Creek High School early Saturday. Officers responded to reports of a body near East Union Avenue and South Yosemite Street — adjacent to Cherry Creek High School — at 5:07 a.m. Saturday, according to a news release from the Greenwood Village Police Department. The incident does not appear to be school-related, police said. The initial investigation suggests this was a homicide, according to Saturday’s release. Another one to three feet of snow is projected for Colorado’s mountains and higher elevation foothills Saturday, according to a NWS hazardous weather outlook. Idaho Springs and Juniper Pass near Mount Blue Sky could both see more than 35 inches of fresh snow stack up, according to NWS projected snow totals.
