Robot Chicken: 10 Comics=movies?

In 1968, writer/director George A. Romero unleashed a film upon the world that has had lasting implications not only on the horror genre, but on cinema as a whole. Night of the Living Dead introduced audiences to the modern zombie as we know it, and Romeros daughter, Tina Romero, looks to keep that legacy alive with her new film, Queens of the Dead, which is slated to go into production this month.

Former Marvel star Jonathan Majors may have seen several big movie roles taken from him after he was found guilty of harassing and assaulting his former girlfriend, but he is about to receive an award for his resilience in the movie industry. In a move that will come as a surprise to many, Majors will receive the Perseverance Award later this month at the Hollywood Unlocked Impact Awards.

Producer Jerry Bruckheimer, who has been in charge of the Top Gun franchise since its conception, has shared some disappointing news about a new follow-up to Top Gun: Maverick. Disney's live-action Moana remake has found its lead actress in Catherine Laga'aia, who will appear as the titular heroine alongside Dwayne Johnson's return as demigod Maui. The 17-year-old Australian takes over the role from Auli'i Cravalho, who voiced the character in the animated 2016 hit and will reportedly be mentoring the newcomer.

Since his first appearance in 1938, Superman has been delighting fans around the world for nearly 90 years. Though he first leaped off the pages of the comics via The Adventures of Superman radio show in 1940, it wasnt until 1951 when the first feature film was released. Starring George Reeves as the titular superhero, Superman and the Mole Men was a campy offering that featured everyones favorite Kryptonian battling a race of small humanoids that glow in the dark.
