Veterans at Oakmont Assisted Living in Rochester Hills recently presented a Michigan veteran, Steve, with a service dog.The veterans had started the fund months ago and when Ron Mexicott of American Legion Post 253 in Royal Oak learned about it, he secured a donation of $2,500 from the post that was matched by the American Legion 18th District.
