As Colorado hurtles along on a 100-loss trajectory, the Rockies could soon find themselves challenging several ignominious historical benchmarks. It’s early, very early, but they already have one within their sights. With a major league-leading 66 walks allowed entering this weekend, the Rockies appear to be a contender to approach Major League Baseball’s 106-year-old record for free passes in a single season. Colorado already holds the National League single-season record with 737 in 1999, while the Philadelphia Athletics hold the MLB record with 827 in 1915.
