TORONTO — Rockies right-handed reliever Daniel Bard needs surgery on his right flexor tendon, and his season is over before it started. Manager Bud Black announced the news Friday before the Rockies’ game vs. the Blue Jays. After undergoing arthroscopic knee surgery in February, Bard was already on the 15-day injured list but will now be placed on the 60-day IL.
