Roger Stone Sentenced To 40 Months In Prison

Federal Judge Amy Berman Jackson on Thursday sentenced Roger Stone to 40 months in prison, shrugging off unprecedented meddling by President Trump in a case that involved Trump’s own conduct. A jury in November found Stone guilty of making false statements to Congress, obstruction of justice, and witness tampering. During the 2016 presidential contest, Stone, a longtime political adviser to Trump, established himself as an apparent intermediary between Trump’s campaign and WikiLeaks, according to testimony at Stone’s trial.
