The Marine Corps Heritage Foundation gave David J. Ulbrich, an assistant professor at the university, this year's Colonel Robert D. Heinl Prize for his article titled "The U.S. Marine Corps, Amphibious Capabilities, and Preparation for War with Japan," according to a news release.
