Roundup: Pirates Spoil Reds' Appy League Opener

GREENEVILLE — Greeneville’s debut as the Appalachian League affiliate of the Cincinnati Reds didn’t go so well. Jeremias Portorreal scored on a wild pitch in the second inning at Pioneer Park, and the Bristol Pirates went on to take a 10-2 win over the Reds during Tuesday’s league-wide opener. The play started the scoring in a four-run inning and gave the Pirates a 1-0 lead.
