Some city officials want to know what Main Street in Royal Oak would look like if it went on a road diet, shrinking the number of traffic lanes and possibly putting in bike lanes.City Commissioner Michael Fournier, a strong proponent of reducing traffic lanes on Main from I-696 to just south of 14 Mile, was one of four commissioners who voted to have the city manager hire a consulting firm to do a feasibility study.
