A Salt Lake City administrator told City Council members Tuesday that the city will soon present them with a report on the purchase of a proposed homeless shelter site at 653 E. Simpson Ave. The Sugar House location has garnered the lionâs share of opposition to four proposed sites of 150-bed shelters that city and county leaders have said will be self-contained, all-day resource centers that direct homeless people toward housing.
