The Salvation Army invites the Amarillo community to join them for Thanksgiving dinner Thursday. The dinner runs from noon to 2 p.m. at the Harrington Hope Center, 400 S. Harrison St., and guests will enjoy a restaurant-style dining atmosphere complete with hostesses, a sit-down dinner and servers. “It’s for all of the community,” Salvation Army spokeswoman Stephanie Pena said. “It’s for people in our shelter, it’s for people who just don’t have a place to spend Thanksgiving, or for those who can’t afford a Thanksgiving meal.” read more
