Some people like kiosks. Others, not so much. City officials Wednesday night gathered community input on plans for improving Broughton Street, inviting the 70 residents or so who showed up to write down their thoughts — sometimes conflicting — on large pads of paper stationed throughout the Coastal Georgia Center on Fahm Street. In addition to informational kiosks, Bridget Lidy, director of Savannah’s Tourism management & Ambassadorship department, and other city staffers sought feedback on lighting types, sidewalk materials, bicycling amenities, recycling bins and increasing public seating options.
