The head of a philanthropic group says community leaders often make decisions they think are in the best interest of teens without really listening to the youngsters. [...] on Wednesday, Bob Carreau, executive director of the Schenectady Foundation, said he and others in decision-making positions heard from about 200 high school students, most of them from Schenectady, during Keep It Real: Carreau said some students don't fully realize the benefits of a high school education and how it has a direct impact of their earning potential and employment prospects.
