Voters will elect a new president of the Savannah-Chatham County School Board May 20 in the non-partisan election. There are five candidates — retired educator Sadie C. Brown, college sociology instructor Jolene Byrne, retired educator and pastor Chester A. Ellis, restaurant operations manager George Seaborough and political and business consultant David Simons. They are running for the seat currently occupied by Joe Buck.
