One of two finalists to be superintendent of Portland’s schools made her case for why she should be hired, speaking before an audience of more than 40 people who came to the King Middle School Tuesday night. Lance, who was hired in March 2013, said she oversees the operations of the district’s middle and high schools in a much larger school district than Portland.
