AUGUSTA, Maine — Self-employed Mainers hit hard by the economic shutdown due to the coronavirus pandemic are still waiting for relief as a federal program aimed at helping them will take at least another week to set up. Maine has among the highest rates of self-employment of any state, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics.
