Some travelers spent more time in Denver than expected Friday when afternoon thunderstorms caused flight delays and diversions into the evening. Though the weather dissipated around 10 p.m., DIA spokesman Heath Montgomery said that as the storm moved east it covered a departure/arrival route causing further issues. He said that somewhere in the neighborhood of 160 flights were affected leaving several hundred passengers in the area overnight. A chaotic mess @DENAirport tonight as hundreds of passengers wait in line in Terminal B to figure out their flights.
