Six Year Sentence For Shooting Suspect Found With Large Amount Of Pills, Pot

ROGERSVILLE — A shooting suspect who was found in possession of a large quantity of pot and pills this past December was sentenced Friday to six years in exchange for guilty pleas to drug and assault charges.Franklin Julius DeLano, 67, 347 Beech Grove Road, Bulls Gap, pleaded guilty Friday in Hawkins County Criminal Court to two counts of aggravated assault, possession of Schedule IV narcotics with intent to deliver, possession of Schedule III narcotics with intent to deliver, possession of marijuana with intent to deliver, maintaining a dwelling for drug use, and possession of drug paraphernalia.In addition to the six year sentence, Judge John Dugger fined DeLano $7,350, and ordered to pay his victims $1,600 in restitution.On Dec.
