The ranks of states seeking to criminalize “revenge porn” has grown now that Colorado has embarked on the same path. Reuters reports that a bipartisan proposal from Colorado lawmakers sailed through the House Judiciary Committee with an 11-0 vote this week, setting the stage for a debate in front of the House. Revenge porn refers to the posting of sexual images of a person online without their consent, in order to humiliate or blackmail that individual — often after a divorce or painful break-up.
