The Lloyd L. & Louise K. Smith Memorial Foundation has awarded $99,500 in grants to local nonprofit organizations.Recipients are:• Akron Art Museum, for School Tour program, $2,500.• Akron Symphony Orchestra, for performances, education and outreach, $6,000.• Akron Zoological Park, for local conservation projects, $1,000.• Battered Women’s Shelter, for renovation of residential suite, $7,000.• Boys Hope Girls Hope – of Northeastern Ohio, for Academy Program for Scholars from Summit County, $1,500.• Building for Tomorrow, for early childhood initiative for those in AMHA housing, $2,000.• Child Guidance & Family Solutions, for materials, tools and equipment for those with mental, emotional or behavioral health issues, $2,500.• Children’s Hospital Medical Center of Akron, for purchase of Jaeco Mobile Arm Support for Rehabilitative Services Department, $2,000.• Civic Theatre, for community-based, noncommercial programming and All Access Program, $1,500.• Coleman Professional Services Inc., for Right at Home: Serving Refugees in Summit County, $1,000.• Community Health Center, for implementation of Seeking Safety program, $1,500.• Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy, to fund the gap between tuition and the actual cost per student, $1,000.• Cuyahoga Valley Preservation and Scenic Railway Association, for general operations, $2,000.• Cuyahoga Valley Youth Ballet - Ballet Excel Ohio, for Reach Out and Dance residency program, $1,500.• Dancing Classroom Northeast Ohio, for Residency Project at Crouse elementary in Akron, $1,000.• Daughters of Divine Charity – Francesca Residence, for heating and air conditioning piping replacement, $1,500.• Downtown Akron Partnership, for First Night Akron Community Outreach Program, $2,000.• Dr.
