People in the U.S. first started hearing the voice of British singer-writer Lloyd Cole about 30 years ago, when he was fronting the folk-rock-pop-soul band the Commotions, then later on was doing the same for the Negatives, before deciding to move to New York, where he went solo. Though Cole often still works with other musicians, he’s doing some acoustic solo gigs at Passim in Cambridge on both June 1 and 2.
