McGraw Hill Financial found that contract awards for construction projects in South Florida grew 10 percent in the first half of 2014. There were $3.49 billion in contracts awarded in the tri-county area, up from $3.18 billion a year ago. That included $2.29 billion in residential contracts, an increase of 23 percent.
