Southwest Jet Makes Emergency Landing In Dallas

DALLAS (AP) — A Southwest Airlines jet has made a safe emergency landing after blowing a tire during takeoff. Southwest spokesman Brad Hawkins said Friday that Flight 8 was bound for Austin but returned to Dallas Love Field after the tire blew. Hawkins says the captain of the Boeing 737 flew by the airport so Southwest personnel and air traffic controllers could check for any damage, then landed the plane.Read more on NewsOK.com
